I guess I can agree with that......I think this country could use a little more faith though.....it's gotten me through some **** in my life......and has kept me from doing a lot of awful things to others......

Then why have non religious people been forced to use marriage? I say take it away from the church since it's already been given to everyone else. I don't think something like this should be up to the people. People are dumb.

the quote from you above better explains ... i know what you were getting at and i agree with your above quote ... i'm lutheran and although most of my family is catholic i had some bad experiences with the catholic church - like when my grandpa died and i couldn't take communion at his funeral, i was furious, to the point of almost trying to stop the church from getting the huge sum of money coming their way lol

 

and I think if it's the matter of a word....use a different word......you can't take it from the people who created it......which is what I've been saying all along......if you try the people of faith will take it as an attack on faith and it'll never pass by a vote of the people......

I am not a man of high moral or ethical standards......but I am a man of faith.....and faith tells me if I am a bad man now I will pay later........that's the idea behind christianity.....do not kill, lie, steal, bang your neighbors wife, etc.....so yes I need religion to keep me from doing bad things to people......and to honest I think everyone does......that's why we are surrounded by a lot of scum bags without faith or respect for themselves or others......

i know i can't wait ... just cleaned out and defrosted the freezer ... but i have to go out and get a chest freezer before i get my first deer this year - running out of room for meat

 

i'm going to ask my dad to send me deer sausage and/or jerky when he gets his deer. he's been ready for deer season the past 5 times i've talked to him
