i talk to my dad on the phone about 3-4 times a week....same with my mom. sometimes i'll have the kids prank my dad on the phone just to show him we love him LOL

I'm 45 minutes from my parents. My mom watches Silas every thursday. We spend almost every weekend at one of the lake houses with them during the summer. My brother I only see a handful of times a year. He's 2.5 hours away. I don't talk to him on the phone unless he's coming up to visit. Once in a while I will email him.

i love the distance we have with our families. mike's parents are in florida and mine are in kansas. we see them about 3-4 times a year for about a week or so each time. now.....the first day or so in kansas i'm thrilled to be back, after that i'm miserable. i think if we stayed in a hotel and had a rental car the whole time there it would be better. in florida i'm good 99% of the time we're there even with his mother annoying us.
