but they got the term from the church.....and since there is a separation between church and state....state cannot dictacte what the church defines as marriage......so call it a civil union and give them all the same rights.......problem solved......but if the gays want to try and force a redefinition of marriage they are in for a battle they really can't win.....

think of the financial side of it , if they allow same sex marriage then the government has to pay ss to alot more people not to mention tax breaks and **** like that

The church has no say whatsoever. The state took the term but they defined what it meant. If you are married you get x and y. The church had no part in that. I don't care if the church recognizes the marriages or not. They don't mean anything anyway.
