I know it was my area because we still don't have it. I just don't remember ever hearing about it back then. I don't think there is a school in Maine with metal detectors and clear backpacks.

the clear backpacks started around 1992. i hated those things so i started carrying my books instead. every now and then i'd use a regular booksack but eventually a teacher would give me **** about it. we werent allowed to wear shorts either, Starter jackets were banned cuz students were getting jumped or killed behind them, and no shirts that had skulls or anything remotely violent on them.

i'd love to raise my kids in an area like urs. right now they are in pretty good elementary schools but for jr high on up, i'm gonna have to look into private schooling.

our security was local cops. they were dicks and when u were walking off campus sometimes and u had something on that they didnt like, like a sports cap (they werent allowed either), they'd put u up against the car and frisk u. we also had random metal detector searches within class. someone would come in with a hand metal detector and go through ur bookbag or ur belt area. out school was pretty mixed also, but mostly lower class students.

dodge dakotas with the 4.7 v8 have the 545RFE tranny (jeep tranny not dodge) which is a pretty good one. time to see what year they started putting the 4.7 in dakotas

dependability is a key factor for me. i don't like American trucks/cars because they aren't as reliable. a lot of people buy American because of the extra power, but if a truck can't hack, then it's all for nothing... unless u just like working on ur **** and providing extra maintenance to it just to keep it alive.

American trucks and any car that is over $20K are reliable (except for those shitty dodges ). It's cheap american vehicles that aren't reliable.
