I agree, which is why i would never go more than -1 up front, well not harder on the engine but on the final drive system

i'm thinking i have 520 sprockets and a 525 chain on my bike right now ...is that even possible. it wouldn't fit.

what about the tranny which is transmitting power directly to the sprockets and chain?

it would work .... chain would just be a little loose, possibly slap around or jump if it's not tight, that could be why you are wearing the sprocket too - too much play

You can measure that with a dyno. RWHP is what a dyno measures unless it is an engine dyno. That is why the numbers are never close to manufacturers ratings. OEMs quote the crank hp.

There is less force on the tranny because it is putting out the same power at a lower change in speed.

why couldn't that be measured? any shop you normally go to that dyno tunes measures rwhp not at the crank .....

Thanks Scoot. I better buy a new chain, I don't have a 520. I can hear it clang when i ride. It's annoying.

proper chain & sprockets will make a big difference, and you only want about 3/4 of an inch up vertical movement in the chain when it's tightened, i like running a tighter chain as it gives the illusion of more engine brake though

Re: OMR SUBCAGE [subframe cage]

My schedule has been off for about a month. It used to be everyday about 2pm. Now it's like every 3 days. I'm not sure what's going on.
