no just 520, it's just as strong and you get slightly more torque and hp

huh?? how is that if the 520 only represents the width of the gear tooth and chain? unless ur referring to more torque cuz it's more teeth, but the engine's hp stays the same.

Less circulating mass, I don't really buy into that **** though.

the whole less weight translates into less rotational mass thing ....

he means because theres less mass to move

inconsequential imo

i don't either, but a lot of racers do. they do 520 conversions on their bikes almost as soon as they get them. and the hp stays the same regardless. only engine mods affect that.

Especially since she's buying steel instead of aluminum.

Re: OMR SUBCAGE [subframe cage]

and you give the engine the mechanical advantage by going smaller on the front sprocket and larger on the rear .... for a simple example pay attention to switching gears on a 10 speed and how easy/hard it is to pedal with the different scenarios

Technically, hp at the rear wheel will change because less is being lost in the driveline. I don't think it's a real amount but whatever.

I'm not sure what you're going for here but you are not changing the hp by changing gear ratios. More torque is being applied at a slower rate.

actually its harder on the engine the smaller u go on the front. the force now has less teeth to be spread over... but torque is certainly upped.

It's harder on the sprocket and chain, I don't think it matters to the engine.

okay, i'll buy that. but u cant measure that with a dyno. dyno machines measure engine hp over it's camshaft's rpms.
