now don't get me wrong i still think you should put the longer forks on because the 929 forks were too short to begin with and the one inch longer forks will put you back where you needed to be from the start but trust me when i tell you raising the front of the bike will counter effect the mod you did ,maybe not completely but there will be a counter effect

Re: Omr Subcage
relative to the bike the front wheel is further forward and down so it changes alot ..it doesn't take huge changes in front suspension to notice the difference

Re: Omr Subcage
this example is way over kill but it should help you ..
lets say your rim is off your bike and you are balancing the rim and tire with one hand by holding the very top of the tire and with you other hand you are going to push the tire forward but not letting it roll just sliding it across the floor like a skid ..
if your hand is directly inline with the direction you are pushing the tire it will take a certain amount of force to get the tire to slide but if you simply raise your pushing hand and instead of pushing in the direction you want the tire to go you now push down and forward it will take a whole hell of alot more to get the tire to slide forward because you are now pushing the tire down at the same time you are pushing it forward..
