umm you must be smoking some serious crack my friend the city of chicago is HORRIBLE.....tax on water bottles, smokes are almost 8$/pack...some closer to 10/pack, alcohol usually has at least 3-7 dollars tax added to it when you buy from the store, if you go to a bar you can buy 5 dollar domestics and 8 dollar imports!!! mixed drinks are 12-30 depending on if you order top shelf. downtown you can buy a 2 bedroom condo in the loop for around 795,000 starting! and the condo is less then 1000sq ft. to buy a parking space for the condo will cost you an average of 40,000.......
Trust me, I work downtown, and I looked at moving downtown!!! its EXTREMELY pricey!

This whole country is fucked, you read about that ****** 19 year old in Omaha that shot up the mall there? People wonder why I want to start carrying a gun on my hip ALL OF THE TIME!!!

You are probably right, but you know in my heart I would know I did the right thing and that I took the life of some piece of **** that was going to kill defenseless people!!! I by no means would sit there and take it if they wanted to send me to jail, but knowing I saved lives would still be awesome.

I dont think any of you people have a clue about how chicago works... the suburbs are NOT chicago......DOWNTOWN IS CHICAGO!!!! you cant even touch a place in downtown chicago in a nice area for under 1 mil. when I said 795,000 I was talking south of the southern tip of the south loop in the business district. If you even think of moving to gold coast (which by the way forbes listed as more expensive then beverly hills in 2006) or a couple other downtown areas near the magnificant mile your looking at an easy 7 figures.....
The suburbs are cheap compared to chicago. The realestate rule for the burbs is " for half as much you get twice as much" I live here and I dont know what your talking about but chicago is just stupid expensive!!!! how bout 900/month rent on a 450sq ft studio apaartment that is 30 minutes OUTSIDE of downtown. Also our public transportation and parking costs in some areas surpassed NY as of budget changes in 2007. Chicago sucks for taxes cook county has taxes on everything, including a new 10cent tax on EVERY water bottle you purchase!!!
