i think a crowd of people would definitely know what is going on when a bike comes in at 70 at high rpm and then all of a sudden you dont hear anything and the rider is still on one wheel i think they would get it. and not that i've tried but its not easy to cheat at coasting, as long as you have a judge at the beging and end you can tell a real coaster

i love coasters...i'm game for it.

the shutting the engine off, **** that, if you mess up at like 80 in the beginging and the front comes down, you have no engine that thing will slam down hard as hell....

i helped video tape the first guines record with rick payne in michigan, it was pretty easy to see and know when tehy started coasting.

Still not positive what a coaster is. Sorry for being such a newb. Sounds like a 12 o'clock with no throttle, just break control.

huh? 300 feet by turning it off, i don't get it.

and yes, a coaster is like a 12, you have to be at balance point and past it with the clutch in, so you just "coast"

John LegionST is a decent person
thank you very much but don't get it twisted, im just seeing what is happening at EVERY comp i go to, BORED SPECTATORS!!!

Granted I have a knack for coasters, but so do a lot of other people, and believe me, i by no means think i would definately win a coaster comp.

I think that it is a much more FUN, EXCITING, and CHALLENGING event than slowest wheelie.

there are a few other things that I believe NEED to be done to our comps and our thinkin if we want to make this a sport that everyday pepople, NOT JUST RIDERS, can watch and will flock to at $20 a seat to see!!!

coasting is the ****. I love to watch long ones. I can only coast about 5 feet but I am working on it. coasting should be judged at all contests
