Tire Pressure for 50 mph standups!

I want to get my 929 to the balance point. But now it's just a matter of fear. I get to scared to hold it because the bike rocks around and i think allot of it has to do with the tire pressure. Right now it's at the maximum recomned on the tire.

There d207's. What do you recommned. and remember it is a street bike so it has to be safe for the freeway also.

don't run 15 on the highway. it'will give u more wobble. most guys run 18 - 22 for all around use. run 20 and see if u like it. remember the more air the easier it is to turn the less air the straighter you will go. but if u let out too much then you will wobble at high speeds. 15 is good for under 30 but i wouldn't do it at 50. good luck.

I use 20 to 25 pounds. Keeping the wobble out for me has more to do with locking out the legs then the tire pressure.

I've never tried 15 pounds, yet...

Most run 20-25 for all around riding then go down to 15 or less for the slow stuff.

i run 15psi and i do interstate stuff all the time. i get wobble, but mostly cause of the road. when you first start off you'll be wobbly. i used to be hella wobbly on my 929 til i got better.

most of the guys this weekend were rocking about 15psi and doing nice interstate standups. andrew and jayson from STL shockers were dead nuts on the interstate for miles without problems, along with rocking the slowest pimpest **** ever in parking lots. i wouldn't say either of them had more than 20, but it looked more like 15.

damn 15psi. I know at my local bike shop they fill most tires to 36psi , i run mine at 28psi. I would think 15 would be for 12's. how does the 15 hold up in turns or is that just when your stunting. I have no problems with 28psi my buddy runs around teh same maybe 25 and he does standups for days no problem

i run 15 all the time, no problem. for hte most part i can hit twisties, but nothing like 30psi. i can't get low cause of my cage anyways so it doesn't matter. you just have to get used to it cause it handles a little heavy with low PSI.

the only time i don't like it is with passengers.

We run 18 for all around, and as low as 7 for doin' the way slow 12's. I just burnt a D-207 off my bike and the only thing you really need to watch is courners with low pressure. You WILL get a slow wobble in the turns all you do is slow down a little extra and use more body weight off your bike.
I started at 25 and went all the way down to 7 one psi at a time with that tire on and these are the results I got.
