just use duct tape around them. that way they wont fold standing on them but they will if it goes down. safest way to do it.

i got a good theory for that, i just use the left rear, i got another right side rear and put it on backwards on the right side, i supose it would work both if you flip both sides that way they fold foward,

mines like that on my 900, dunno bout other bikes but works for mine, suppose the pipe mount would have to be worked out on some bikes though, like i said i got only the left rear so works good for me, it even folds if you crash

hmmmm.....i like the duct tape idea, dont really wanna weld em out in case i need to fold them for some reason (like when i gotta get my piece through the front door to my apt).....sounds like it will work fine and when beyatches ask why i have duct tape on my rear pegs, i have yet another excuse to terrorize the elderly on the 6.

thanks for the replies!

........like furred r-1 said. HOSE CLAMPS.they hold like a champ and when you drop it, it breaks and lets the peg fold back.........and carry a couple of spares. lol
