XSBA, what's your thoughts?
ok, here is my 2 cents on this, yeah, i would like to see the sport get bigger, but i dont ride for the sport, i ride cause i have fun doing this ****. thats the only reason i ride, for fun.
i know when i need to wear a helmet and i do wear it when need be, but i ride for me, not the xsba. and if i dont want to wear a helmet cuase it is 100 degrees outside and im only doing 5 mph, then hell with it.
ok, and as far as the hotel thing goes, most of the people that are into stunting arent the conservitive, suit and tie, type of people, and i like it like that. this **** would have never got started if people gave a damn about getting in trouble with the law, or what people thought.
i know rodg doesnt like rideing on the streets, but, thats where it all started, and i like rideing the parking lots too, but you cant beat the rush of rocking a wheelie in traffic.
thats how i feel about it

what million dollar business is going to support a sport that is out of control?
motocross is dirt, when you had kids doing it in the backyard it wasnt all that bad. you had skaters who skated on the street, but when they fell, they just bruised their knees and elbows. these sports are easy to control/maintain/ and market.
sportbikes...LOL..
hey mom, guess what I just did 150 on one wheel today. guess what, you fall, you have a 50/50 chance of living and dying.
now who the hell is going to risk there million dollar business on stunting when 90% of the stunts are being practiced illegally, causing far more deaths then BMX, skate Boarding, and motocross combine?
I wouldnt.
when the community is ready to be professionals, is when you will be on espn and saying "HI MOM, I'm GOING TO DISNEY LAND"
otherwise..your going to be stuck where you are at for a long time.
its very rare to make a living off of stunt riding. you can, but its not about winning stunt fest competitions. its about selling an image that the youth is willing to buy.
maybe I've just lost my mind...
which ever...rock on. ride hard and be safe..lol

What have you won? what shows have you thrown? hows that video distribution looking? How you doing for sponsors??
ZILCH
and if I see you bragging about some **** u did on a scooter or a 50 again I think I will go shoot myself

Thomas.. have you been changin that much since i seen ya bro, damn!
Lemme shoot out my thoughts and OPINION...any of the teams who are a lil more interested in making a name for themselfs or even getting larger, what the **** is wrong with all the stunt teams throwing money in on TV ads, Radio, Billboards and newspapers????? Those who are serious about it will go for it.. my idea, WE ALL THROW IN MONEY FOR WHO`S EVER EVENT IS BEING THROWN! WTF is so difficult?
If we are all out to achieve something, we just waiting for someone else to do it for us?
This team ( M.I. Xtremes ) is ready to throw in.. dunno what anyone else thinks, but as many stunters as there are, shouldn`t be a problem coming up with ads for a few states, run`em from Florida to god damn texas, up to Maine.. what`s $10. - $25. per team????? all these competitors want bigger payouts, then why not advertise to draw the bigger crowds????
I haven`t ran a M.I. Xtremes show, cause there isn`t **** around this area to host it, otherwise i would tryi it out a lil differently then the next, but whomever throws these comps, should remember how the one before went, try new ****, worry bout drawing more people in, then everyone will be happy, more money, more people = BIGGER SPONSORS!
Am i stupid for believing this ****?
Cause i`d like to know

the money is not all i was talking about. they don't have any promotions or advertising to try and help the attendance. nor do they have other side shows like fmx or BOSS stunt show. they simply aren't trying to make a event to cater to ANYONE.
i can't afford to travel all over the country that's why I don't go. I'm not sure if I can win or not. I will try my best, that's all I can do. And the one event that I definately would have attended and rode at was cancelled (Elkhart).
i know they mean well. but for the multi billion dollar mogul that they are, i know they could offer more to the riders and spectators alike.

Let me give you guys some outside of the sport thoughts! Im not a stunter nor will i ever will be! I respect your sport or way of life! I enjoy watching but what makes me sick is to think everyone bashing the xsba. There giving you guys a chance to prove your selfs! Now you guys want to get upset about no one giving you money! Why in the world anyone want to give a bunch guys who act out of control money! Angelle Savoie. has been the top pro stock bike rider the last two years and couldnt get a sponsors not intill the season was half over did army pick her and antron brown which antron supply them funds for the first half of the year! Now i know what your saying to different things yes and no. If its about the money to the sponsors! look at this! espn has a 2hour show on racing every weekend theres NHRA race you better beleive they mention her and the sponsors! plus the fact they make 1/9 scale pro bikes and they get sold every ebay, snap on, etc etc. plus the clocks, shirts, hats. Now racing has been around a long time. xsba are held at the prostar events! The crowd there is 90% there to watch the races if im not mistaken. I think everyone should be happy there giving stunters a chance to improve there image! We racers are happy ama/prostar gives us a chance to race and now they have street racing on sat. nights give us a chance to get it off the street. SO stop crying about what you dont have and start being happy with what we do have!
damn.... you guys are aboutto duke it out... Fighting on the internet? Im with DSOG... dont get on stuntlife and say "i can do this" just do it... the meek will inherit the earth... opinions are like *** holes, everyone has them and they all stink... if someone pisses you off, are you the bigger person for escalating it more? damn... remember, it isnt a pissing contest... its stunting... something we all love doing, (something weall have in common... STUNTlife) whether we can wheelie a million miles or just pop it up and tank slap it down...
Attention Riders seeking a career as a professional stunt rider.
Here are some tips that will help you achieve your goals:
1. Don't be scared to lose. I hear way too many people say that their reason for not competing is because so-and-so is competing and they have no chance of winning. So what. You don't get better by thinking about it, you get better through experience. There's a big difference in pulling off tricks in your favorite parking lot compared to pulling the same tricks during a competition in front of fans. If people only competed at sports that they knew they could win in, no sports would exist. You may lose the competition, but you will still gain publicity and experience which will benefit you in the long run.
2. Create for yourself a "Rider Identity". If you want to turn specators into fans, you need to give them something about yourself that they can identify with. This can mean bike appearance, gear appearance, attitude, style, etc. You have to take into consideration that to the average spectator, alot of the tricks look the same. Right now, most of the riders/bikes do to. If you can distinguish yourself from the rest of the pack, people will remember you, even if you aren't the most skilled rider. And when people remember you they will cheer for you. Then they become fans that buy merchandise.
3. Support companies that support the sport. If you don't like how the XSBA is run, you are entitled to your own opinion. But why would you want to create a bandwagon of haters? Companies like the XSBA may not be doing exactly what you feel is right, but they are helping bring the sport into a POSITIVE light through professionalism. Stuntlife, Asphalt, Super Streetbike, etc....these are companies that help promote the sport. Support them.
4. Keep it professional. The word "Gangsta" has officially been abolished. From now on the new word is "Professional". If you are serious about making this sport succeed you will understand what I mean.
5. Keep it off the streets. If there is any one factor holding us back, it's street riding. We all started there, but there are other options now. Most of the serious riders that want to make this succeed know this is important and they don't ride on the street. Talk to your local dragstrip about holding practice. Present yourself as a professional rider seeking a safe/legal route to practice, not some hooligan looking for a place to break his neak.

I've been riding for less than a year, so I am by no means a stunter. I'm putting my 2 cents in here as a fan and only as a fan. XSBA is the future of this sport, and as it is now it has a long way to go. Most stunt teams have better web exposure than XSBA, and exposure is everything. When people see this sport they will be hooked. It's explosive, addictive, whatever ... that's why we're all here. The problem with the sport is that even when there is a competition in your area, its hard to find out about it. Send a PM to somebody running an event or a rider and good luck getting a response to find out where and when a friggin comp is being held. If you want to make money, if you want to be "professional" you need to respect each and every fan. Fans bring out their friends and then you have more fans. Get some exposure ... radio, tv, posters, billboards ... every little bit is going to come back 10-fold in your favor.
Peace
Peace
I agree with Ken. When he and I spoke he wanted to branch out to avoid the Clear Chanel BS and I agree why waste time and tallent with a company who will never care. Ken DO YOUR OWN ****. I will help where ever I can.

Yes I know what you mean on your level..........the way I see it, I still do this for fun and that means I can be gangsta. The world is changing, I'm not wearing a suit and tie and cleaning up the fun I have to be labelled a PRO! I'm gonna chill, relax and be myself..........you can be gangsta without being thugg. Remember that.
Like I said, on your level I understand what your saying. That's just not me.
