It should be the sole property of the promoter / producer of the event.
These guys probably bought a ticket and filmed as much as they wanted, with nobody batting an eye. No control or copyright protection in place at the events, leaving no defensible position when video like this hits the mainstream shelves.
Is there any value in these freestyle events, and in the image of the riders that are featured in them? Absolutely! So why not protect that value, by implimenting proper credentials for photo and video personnel. That way there is control over image and copyright. Also post signs at the gate and through the facility that read "Video taping of event is not allowed". Put it in the waiver at the front gate. This will also give you a defensible position in court if you ever want to dispute the release of a video like the one discussed above, and help you recoup that value if the rules (or copyright) is broken.

guys ken does have a great point but the fact remains that when u put on an event that is outdoors there is always gonna be someone who finds a way to film it.................and like dave said it is perfectly legal.............hell this weekend we were in maine for the team felony/vertical outlaws show.....it was a benefit show for the local firehouse.........the teams didnt make one dime! it was 3 dollars for spectators to get in.......what do some of these asses do ....... park on the side of the road and watch from there so they dont have to pay 3 measally dollars........some were filmin.........its the nature of the beast

Couldent u still take them to court for lost wages??? Since if they put ur names on the DVD and website links people would buy YOUR movies, but they gave u no credit. Thats just really really gay, someone should bootleg all there videos so no one has to buy them so the company dosent get paid

u know what rodge .......... i expect that from a guy like u.........first off u obviously have no clue what im about..........u start a post with "no offense" or some crap like that and expect that it makes it ok..............its funny cuz i believe it was ur team who approached me at starbiyz about "bein exploited" u dont have a clue about me, u dont have a clue about business, and u dont have a clue about how to interact with people yet also show people that u have skills in this game.................u wanna come out the box and make a sweeping generalization about what i do for this sport and how im tryin to take advantage! well chew on this did u know that i have a personal relationship with almost every team on this vid..........did u know that im 22,00 dollars in debt (6,500 of which is just from what ive put into this vid already) did u know that the reason some of the teams that are on this vid are on there because they asked me to do promo/sponsor vids for the.............and i offered it to them for free? did u know that i have used what lil connections i have in this sport to help these up and coming teams on a regular basis? when u vid came out how many calls did u make to shuggs and say "listen stuntlife made this sport get where its at i wanna give back how can i rep u responsibly to help u as a business amek a few dollars" did u make that call.......**** did u go to shuggs in chicago and say "i wanna give back so here is how i wanna sell u dvds when they come out cheaper than anyone elses and u can put the difference towards helping stuntlife!" did u do that? How many times have u met a kid in this sport that is struggling and used yer connections to have his hero in the stunt world call him and just spend 15 minutes on the phone with him and make his century? how many times have u even stoop talkin smack long enough to do it yerself? **** rodge have u even takin the time to build relationships in this sport that are helpful to the sport? .Back to Topic: It was wrong morally, however in a legal aspect they have every right to sell these videos. I will contact the producer of this video and update this thread with the results. I will also contact Glen and make sure this doesn't happen again this year. It seems to be a pretty large compnay, so I doubt they would do anything Illegal that would cost them their business.

i'm not the best. nor have i claimed to be the best. but i know i entertain every last one of you. whether it's my **** talking or riding. if it was my riding, you wouldn't clap, you wouldn't give props, you wouldn't acknoledge it. i'm used to that by now, because no matter how many stunt riders/teams show up to any event, there are never any applauses or crowd involvement. Not just for me and my squad, but for ANYBODY. DARIUS, PBR, SOI, ETC... Why you ask? Because everyone is too busy thinking that they can do it themselves. Guess what? They can't. Those with natural talent are known, and right now everyone else needs to step down, retire, and enjoy the show.
