haha I actually did a trackday on that same year r1, handled supernice and the power comes in smooth so it was easy to throttle outta turns, my gix1 wanted to spin the tire out of turns so it was kind sketch in that respect

Hey "never 2 old" i sold my R1 stunt bike and got a 636.
I had an 03 R1 for the streets too and i have sold that as well now.
They are great street bikes but not easy to stunt. Lots of little probs as a stunt bike the main one being the oil light comes on when at 12 after a while so that would need sorting to.
Ya can stunt them but i think i would move yours on and get a 636,f4i etc etc.

Thanks vandal....looks like the R1 is going up for sale, i'll just use the money to fix up my 929 for now till i find a good f4i.

id rebuild it for as cheap as possible and sell it. Only other thing i would consider is using it as a streeter/stoppie bike. But thats pushin it

Ya this thing does stoppie sick!...feels even better than the 929 for sure.
The subframe looks weak for a 12 or round bar though...really week.

I know....you told me, i jus wana put plastic on it first.
i allready blew a stoppie and didnt want to hurt the bike so i left my ancle
under it as a cage! lol, good thing i didnt have plastic on it when i did this...
