Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
Good riding with ya Rah. Let's keep that spot on the low low, only good spot in si
Anybody got f4i clutch cables for King Tone the Natural? My cables are so stretched out that I can't adjust it any more on the bottom. How that happened is beyond me. It started like 10 mins after my wreck on Thursday. I tightened them up, got rid of some of the slack, rode for an hour today, and the clutch was back to not catching again. The cables are so stretched that when the bikes in gear it doesn't have full power to the wheel, it's like half engaged. There's nothing left on the cable to adjust either. Guess no whoolies for me tomorrow. Ugh.

Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
Clutches are normally disengaged. When you pull them in then you engage them..
This is a touchy subject because everyone has a different POV. It's like rearends. Some people say lower gears and some people say higher gears.
Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
Yeah it's unridable right now. I can't loosen it up anymore. The more you loosen it, the more you have to pull the lever in for the clutch to engage it right?

Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
When you loosen it, you have to pull it further to disengage the transmission from the engine. Stretching and loosening do the same thing. If you can't get your clutch cable loose enough, something is really fucked up.
Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
How do you figure separating the plates in a clutch is engaging them? When a clutch is engaged, power is transmitted. When a clutch is disengaged, power is not transmitted.

Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
The adjusters are all the way going towards the front of the bike. If I turn them back the other way, the clutch won't catch at all. I initially turned the adjusters going towards the front of the bike... and all was fine. Today I had to turn them a little bit more out, and it was fine for like another 30 minutes. Probably is the adjusters were already pretty far towards the front of the bike initially, so from all the adjusting I ran out of room. Is there somewhere else to adjust other than lever or at the end of the cable? Last edited by Tone The Natural; Mar 27, 2010 at 11:38 PM.
