R1 gearing.
without turning my R1 into an all out stunt bike..anyone reccomend goin up a few teeth? i dont wanna do parking lot **** and ill have a 600 next season, but id like to be able to go slower on my r1. i hold 2nd gear smooth at 55-60 but id rather do 40, i dont do much with brakes on the street either, im sure some of you pros could hop on my bike and use your brake control button to slow it down but im not that yet hahaha
so my ?...would like a +5 or something slow me down good? or would it make my bike touchy as **** and make my wheelies look like garbage lol! my throttle control is very steady now but im not sure how an r1 would react with sprockets..thanks for any info

lol im just jokin too. and i just read the thread. i may try a +5 or so and see if i like it , i mainly wanted to know if anyone went up around 5-8 an noticed any major difference in throttle control. i dont want it to be crazy touchy ya know.
but like i said next yr ill have a 600, so i dont wanna lose much top speed. this bike will be the twistie bike next season.

Re: R1 gearing.
yea i have a 905 on it. i scrape that bitch in the twisties so it will come off when i get a stunter. im real smooth with my bike now. but im starting combos and would like to be slower than 60 with then. i just started doin stagger to SS and workin on the flamingos and all that silly crap. id feel better at 40. even when i get a stunter ill be workin more on killin the streets. i rode in a lot once and it was a blast . but combos are it for me :YEAH
ill do both though
