Oil pickups??
Re: Oil pickups??
yah or everyone that lives on mountains would be blowing their bike/car engines from driving up and down the mountain roads....****** retarded. im guessin his "stunters" are the kinda of guys that start up their bike on a cold day and rev it up to redline in the garage to show their friends how the engine sounds.. theres a million reasons why an engine will blow and wheelies arent one of em on a 636.
Re: Oil pickups??
Like everyone else said, if you have oil at the pickup, and the oil pump is making pressure, you can ride a wheelie without doing harm. This is why most "stunt riders" run a little extra oil so that when the bike is at an extreme angle (90 degrees) there is still enough oil in the pan to reach the pickup. So Yamaha412 you have no clue how the lubrication system of an engine works so you have no room tell people false ****/ like sdfkillz said, how come people that live in the mountains don't blow their stuff up? Or drag racers? for drag cars is call windage trays/pan in the oil pans to keep oil by the pickup .
Re: Oil pickups??
really that many miles? never seen a stunter have his original motor in and not have crank, bearing probs... wonder why thats the most high in demand motor out there right now.... cuz its the most popular stunt bike and the motor aint meant to function for long periods of time like that
you are ******* stupid obviously Re: Oil pickups??
stop the maddness my boy roll damn near 12ies back peg stand up whoolies onlyreason so high up he has bad posture he sucks the suck up and bends his arms and is real close to the tank ill get pics...rides for MILES down the highway high rrrrrs never once had a problem. royal purple runs nice and cooler. chch that out. no **** lack of oil will blow it up....but on a 636 being at 12 oclock will not starve the engine of oil. having a clogged pick will, or not having enough oil in your engine, or not changing your oil in so long that it gets to thick to circulate properly. dont ******* tell me about a 636 bro, i ran 2 of em with nothing but wheelies and the whole ****** section 518 team has been running nothing but 636's for the last 5 years and none have had problems with oil starvation or popped engines. ask ANYONE on this forum if their 636's starves of oil you will be told NO it doesnt.
Re: Oil pickups??
I dunno about the 636 motor blowin from no oil, but deef the triumph. Just like u said sdf, I was mid highway wheelie maybe only a minute in, and at the same time the rpms died and the oil light came on, once I pulled over started the bike back up, all I heard was the dreaded engine clank....
Re: Oil pickups??
Maybe on my triumph the motor was done because of holding it at way too high a rpm, but not the 636! I always stay in a higher gear lower rpm with that bike. You say a pickup is not necessary for the 636? Now i say both blew from oil starvation, but only the triumph motor went mid wheelie, the 636 i wasnt doing **** and it bogged down, sounded like the motor was underwater, then shot coolant out the exhaust and it was done? Cylinderhead came back fine too! And I change my oil all the time so i dont know? Im a dumbass with any mechanics...
