Oil pickups??

I'm sure this has been posted before but I'm not finding what I need through search, I just keep gettin a thread about a guy ripping people off for oil pickups. Anyway, I keep blowing my fckin motors on long highway wheelies, litterally 2 in a month, and my only answer is bad oil starvation. So, neeed one for my 06 636, and would loove one for my daytona 675, anyone know anyone manufacturing these?

It's for all bikes

Actually the word "klean" spelled with a K came from kawasaki

Re: Oil pickups??

Maybe on my triumph the motor was done because of holding it at way too high a rpm, but not the 636! I always stay in a higher gear lower rpm with that bike. You say a pickup is not necessary for the 636? Now i say both blew from oil starvation, but only the triumph motor went mid wheelie, the 636 i wasnt doing **** and it bogged down, sounded like the motor was underwater, then shot coolant out the exhaust and it was done? Cylinderhead came back fine too! And I change my oil all the time so i dont know? Im a dumbass with any mechanics...

if coolant came out the exhaust, then it has nothing to do with oil I wouldn't think..

oil starvation would probably take out your rod bearing first thing, and maybe do some damage to the cams if they aren't getting oil

Re: Oil pickups??

its def not in need of a pick up on the 05/06 636. both of mine have been fine. only time u need an oil pick up is if you see your oil light come on while in a wheelie and 01 to 05 gsxrs are the only ones im aware of that happening with and it only happend to me while in the lot. dont overfill your oil on your 636 or that will cause ur engine to pop if u dont have the kleen mod done. otherwise, idk man you might had a bunk engine. it happens to every manufacturer. idk **** about triumphs so i cant speculate what the deal is with that.

Re: Oil pickups??

endless performance is in the process of having oil pickups manufactured. Wait about a month he told me and they should be ready to ship. Wait a little and get the part from an honest company that will actually send you the part you paid for . Good luck

Re: Oil pickups??

oh sorry.....just saw he was looking for one....My bad.....Well good luck anyway...

either way it still is probably worth getting a pickup anyway. Seems like a relatively cheap part to assure your motor is not starving from oil....now if they were not so hard to get...lol

the oil pick up is already at the back of the oil pan...what are u gonna do put one on there that points at the back of the oil pan?....if it aint broke dont try to fix it. you want someone to spend 80 dollars on a part that they already have from the factory...smarten up bro. thats why your good friend ryan smith only made em for 2 bikes the gsxr and the f4i and the f4i doesnt even really need one.

BS ill show you an 03 636 motor that i am rebuilding for a guy that destroyed his crank... bearings...cams...valve cups all from lack of oil, motors arent meant to be operated at 12 oclock therefor do not get adequate oil circulation, therefor causing great heat and heat with no oil is bad news.. anyone that trys to quote me and tells me different please feel free to stop over, or better yet just talk to any top grade mechanic and ask them if lack of oil will blow a motor

no **** lack of oil will blow it up....but on a 636 being at 12 oclock will not starve the engine of oil. having a clogged pick will, or not having enough oil in your engine, or not changing your oil in so long that it gets to thick to circulate properly. dont ******* tell me about a 636 bro, i ran 2 of em with nothing but wheelies and the whole ****** section 518 team has been running nothing but 636's for the last 5 years and none have had problems with oil starvation or popped engines. ask ANYONE on this forum if their 636's starves of oil you will be told NO it doesnt.

just because your sensor isn't reading lack of oil pressure or oil doesnt mean you arent doing damge. i will 100% guarentee any motor that has been stunted for one session or been on long wheelies has immidiate signs of abuse.... guarentee it

and yet they still last for 40/ 50/ 60k miles with no problems, interesting theory you have their bill nye the science guy. if the oil is not being sucked up by the pump, it will lose oil pressure and the oil light will come on. refer to the period at the end of that sentance.

really that many miles? never seen a stunter have his original motor in and not have crank, bearing probs... wonder why thats the most high in demand motor out there right now.... cuz its the most popular stunt bike and the motor aint meant to function for long periods of time like that

again you talk **** that u dont know. the most popular stuntbike is the f4i. function like what? after you clutch the ****** wheely up its just maintaining a certain rpm like it would riding on 2 wheels. the engine has no idea its on one wheel. you must not know a whole lot of stunters i guessk, or the ones that u do know dont know how to keep an adequate amount of oil in their bike or theyre overfilling it and not doing the kleen mod and causing hydrolock and blowin their **** out that way. my bikes very frequently see 10 to 15 mile highway wheelies as well as lot use and not one of the 9 bikes that ive ever owned has had any issues with the engine what so ever. the only bike that the oil light came on was my gsxr and i quickly remedied it with a oil pick and the engine is still running strong in someone elses bike. theres a reason why bikes have an oil pump bro and gravity is it. doesnt matter if the angle of the engine is at a diff degree as long as the pump is gettin oil and the engine is functioning properly otherwise then the whole engine is gettin oil and theres no issues.

Re: Oil pickups??

if there is oil to the pump, there is oil to the motor.
