Skitchin'

Hey guys what's the easiest way to skitch? I can actually get off the bike and skitch on the side, but it's not as easy as it should be to get back on. I know there has to be an easier way. And how exactly do I got about skitchin off the back? thanks

here you go.

well first off, if darius tracks down this post i wont here the end of it.

Skitch off the side is not so bad. the way i do it. is i put the bike in a higher gear just in case my hand may slip or do something funny the bike is not going to take off on me. Then i step my right foot over the tank resting my right arm on the side of the tank to hold me up, then i step the left one off as the right one hits the ground. i use alot of my weight on my arms to skitch i dont put alot of pressure on my feet do to getting tired fast.

to get back on what alot of people do the first time is put there right foot on the peg and that leaves your left foot no where to go. so dont do that.
Use the pressure from your arms to pull you up a little and step onto the peg with your left foot nomatter what. some people just skip back up like the horse ridders do. like jtholt and the jedi.

also remember that if you cant get back on from skitchen off the side you can always pull the clutch in and just slow down with the bike till it stops. i have had to do that alot in the begging.

ski off the back is easy getting off, sometimes hard getting back on.
well some guyz put there bike on throttle lock or leave it in gear with the idole up.
I like to go about 60mph click it in neutral hope to the back seat while putting your feet on the rear pegs, now here is where you have to have some commitment, when getting off you need to hope a little backwards like a backwards jump. while either holding your rearpeg brackets, or the middle seat. try to use your chest as a spotter of holding you up on the back.
getting back on you have to lift your toes up in the air and then point them down when you point them down you have to jump up towards the tank and you should be sitting on the rear seat by this time after hoping back up.

well not to sure if any of it helped but good luck and take your time....also have your friend ride the bike while you ski off the back it is a good way to learn and feel safe without worring about getting back on or off while craching.

THis is drivin me nutz, I can get off no problem and have no problems keepin the bike under control while I'm skitchin, but it the gettin back on part that is messin with me. I tend to want to veer to the left, I: dunno if maybe I'm too far off the bike to reach my foot back to the pegs or what. Thanks

to get back on just put all your weight on your right arm (assuming your skitchin off the left side) and pull your feet up to the peg. I actually do what the guy above said "not to". I put my right foot on the peg and then get up. Works for me....
