Skitchin off the back
i was just wonderin if any of you guys use cruise controls to skitch off the rear.If not how fast you usually have to go? I can already skitch from side to side, and superman myself back on to the seat. do you get the same kick up force pushing you forward off the back? been practicing my leap frogs with the bike standing but cant reach the front seat without much wobble. also has anybody found any companys that produce skitchin plates for shoes? Its just such a pain to bend all that metal all the time. thanks for your time.
Re: Skitchin off the back
I do not use cruise control or any metal shoes to skitch, just my normal riding boots. I get the bike to the speed I want, put it in neutral and then quickly hop off the back. When I am skitching, my body weight is not on my feet, it's on my arms. (It is very different trying to "launch" back to the seat without the bike moving.) When I am behind the bike I push my feet down and then my legs kick back and up, I then pull forward with my arms to get me back on. Once you get use to it, it can be done at just about any speed.
