do u just guess this ****. tail lock and gas cap 5 pins, ignition 7. so that method wont work period on a honda or any other bike, so drop it.

yeah, first of all were not in england, so whats with the fireblade ****, and the only japanese bike that used a resistor until 07 is gsxr's. Honda understands very well that if a honda gets stolen, the owner goes out and buys a new honda. its funny how people always know things for a fact without any knowledge of it.

Re: lost keys cant start bike HELP

When I bought my R1 it was a theft recovery from an insurance auction and they just had two of the wires going into the key set crossed on a switch and another two on a push button...

worst come to worst cut all the wires going to your ignition...find which two when crossed turn the bike on and make the fuel pump run....then find which two make it turn over....then when you get the key back hook all the wires back the way they were and electrical take where you made the splices...

Re: lost keys cant start bike HELP

yep...... the hope and poke method will get you a bigger headache than what you are lookin for...... if you dont want to believe the resistor theory, then pull up a wiring diagram and work it out before you go cutting and pasting all hap hazardly....... just a friendly thought.

First of all, quit being an internet tough guy. Fireblade is the 900 family. cbr900/929/954 all were designed off each other, as the 900 was the original platform.

Secondly, I guess you're illiterate. I'm not to first person to mention a resitor(or diode), in a keyswitch on pre-07 bikes. Do you think that we all just made this stuff up for the hell of it? To top it off, I have infact dismantled a keyswitch on a 929 that was bought at auction.

"Seeing that you've been unemployeed for the last couple years" maybe you should try getting a job instead of being an e-thug.

The kid asked a question, and I was giving some insight. Relax.

Re: lost keys cant start bike HELP

come to think of it about a month after I bought the bike, which the first thing I did was hook the wires back up so the key worked....I had an electronic box of some sort under the seat [I know for a fact it wasnt the ecu it was something else] go out...also my neutral safty switch also went out shortly after buying this bike....

might not be related but I have had to troubles with electrics on this bike since that first month after I bought it...which i was the first owner since it was hot wired....
