Dumping the clutch

The video camera never seems to be rolling when I get em super slow. But this one is kind of where I'm at.
Soon... soon...
I like where I'm at so far. The good stuff is just around the corner! I can't wait, but I'm not moving on until I have staggered idle down pat.

I do take damn good video tho lol. But u do get camera shy!!!
Where are my videos? i was killing it the other day!!!!!!
Re: Dumping the clutch
So I was pretty frustrated today. I feel like I'm in a rut, and Idle is ******* eluding me.
I keep doing this dipping thing when I try to keep em slow: http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fusea...deoid=37949014
Same bobble: http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fusea...deoid=37948899
And then when I do get em slow... once I get past the BP, it feels like I need to drag on my brake to keep from looping... then the bike wants to stall on me: http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fusea...deoid=37949110
So. How far off am I? I was pretty frustrated the last 2 times I practiced.
On the slowest ones I've done (of course not on video)... even thought it's a slow crawl, I'm not tapping on the brake, I'm like constantly Lightly on it. Then low and behold... as I try to finish rolling off the throttle, my bike dips forward from what I guess is engine braking, and I have to power it back on again... then starts the bobbling.
I'm not sure how to progress from here. I'm trying to be light on the brake, but to go past I keep dragging on it rather than tapping it. My throttle feels like an ON/OFF switch most of the time. Twitchy.
Any advice?

Re: Dumping the clutch
Thats what i was thinking too. Been watching you alot in person and i think you need to get higher faster and just get higher all together!! I still think that bike would come up just as easy and be less twitchy with less gearing!!!
Remember that "oh **** im gonna loop" feeling needs to become the "oh Yay" feeling!!!

Re: Dumping the clutch
whats ur idle at? i found if i run mine too high, i compensate with too much brake, and end axe murdering the throttle and brake like Kane taught me to ride.
Re: Dumping the clutch
I keep my idle somewhere around 3.5-4k. I need to learn better throttle control, and use less brake input.
Higher. Fucxk. I get the bike back far, and then over brake every time. I'll keep practicing.
That dude who is doing circles in like a week on another thread is now officially pissing me off.

tell me about it, took me 9 months to finally learn idle.
i learned at 3600ish rpms, and have been turning it down in increments, down to 3k right now... just gotta learn to massage the brake.. and dont hit it early, wait til you know you're about to loop out, then give it a lil tappy tap.
"just taaaap it in."
Re: Dumping the clutch
You said nothing about tapping!
Had I of known that, I would have been pulling Gilmore's all week! (I can see myself mumbling underneath my helmet...)
Just taaap it in... Just taaap it in... Give it a little tappy... tap tap tap-a-roo.

And I'll have you know... I've been working on that! Waiting longer to grab the brake... i mean tap. well, squish, but yeah!
