Re: FI cage opinions??????

can anybody answer my question, somebody must have an experience with this..

When your running a sick innovations cage on a 600RR will the added sliders that you can buy from sick innovations, stop it from rolling over?? cause i just bought one and i never knew this

Are they really that bad for rolling over with the sick innovations? i never really had that problem with my FI cage...

this is a guess but unless the sliders are pretty long i don't think it will make too much of a difference

I see you know I was talking about you getting hurt!
As for me Tomorrow will come and ill be working on my stunting another day. But for reals im going to look more into a SI cage now.
I took the good with the bad. Thanks guys. I know you hate the cage threads but this one I got the most out of instead of the ones I found and maybe it just helped someone else out there too!
to all of you. even you towlieee

btw I've watch FI cage break on an impact I think it should have held..
I'm pretty sure it was a FI cage, but I'd never want to run one.

Looks like a weak design to me, I'd rather just go with a cage that looks way stronger, SI or tigershark

Sounds to me like your the one getting your feelings hurt everytime someone shares their opinions on the FI cage..

I've read hundreds of stories about FI cages breaking stator covers, breaking motor mounts, breaking frames...

And worst I've heard about SI cages are getting sockets stuck in the tubes
And I've never heard anything bad about tigershark

i don't sell regular crash cages over the net so this isn't me saying bad things about peoples crash cages for the sake of selling mine this is just what iv'e seen personally....

i agree with roger that the si design is stronger. i know this from first hand experience, i have an fi cage on my 900, and yes with just a few crashes one slider faces down and the other up, plus it broke my motor mount. what i like about fi though, is leg room, it's something that no other cage offers, i mean with the fi, i don't even notice its there, but with other cages, it feels like chinese shin torture.

i have the si cage on my rr. i have the sliders on as well. the bike will roll up on the tank if you crash hard. i have had the cage on since november and havnt had any issues. i thought about longer sliders, but i wonder if they are too long, will it put more stress on the mount!

FI for older bikes, and the 1st gen FI cage for the 929/954 SUCK!!! SI and Tygershark are by far the best all around cage for almost any bike out there. FI just so happens to be more brand specific I feel. Put an FI on a **Newer** Gixxer or any year F4i and an FI cage will hold up like no other. Pretty much everyone I know rocks F4i's and we pretty much all run FI and obviously have had ZERO issues. But the next cage I buy will most likely be a Tygershark or an SI... but I just can't knock FI b/c it's done me no harm!

Stupids squid question of the day, might as well ask in this thread

Anyone know what kind of cage this is?

Older FI? Stunt aid? Some unknown brand??

It was my first cage off ebay, go it for $150... Would never buy one again, but its what I have right now

Just curious what I've been learning circles on

Re: FI cage opinions??????

/\/\ That looks like an old stunt aid man...I remember the design because I had a stunt aid that I got for free on my F4i. Then I switched over to FI because I can get good deals on them. I crashed once with the FI cage and it held up pretty good. I only had to loosen two bolts cause the bottom bar shifted a lil. Then bayum back to normal tighten it back up and keep going.

Re: FI cage opinions??????

my SI cage with the sliders has taken some serious hits. its never once rolled up on the bars. my only complaint is when it loosens up and i gotta tighten the mount up those slider are a bitch to get back out.

Love my FI CAges....929, 954 and 600rr they take major beetings and they are awesome for me.

hundreds of hard hits not a problem....But every cage has their flaws for specific bikes. ....

I swear by FI and will not use anything else

Re: FI cage opinions??????

I run the fi cuz its smaller and I feel safer if I fell, don't really wana get cought under a big *** cage, only thing about fi is that my clip ons always hit coming outta special k and hi chair circles, just the way the cage rolls the bike...
