this also wont happen on an omr subcage because i rotate the peg mount forward on it's axis and as a bonus it puts your foot on the grippy part of the peg while keeping it from folding up during a wheelie

 

OMR no matter what Bike I end up getting I promise you I will get A Sub from you! Only because you seem like A cool dude lol (And the fact that everyone says the your subs are the ****!) i do make other parts like crash cages , twelve bars ,stunt stays and more but i only sell the subcages over the net every thing else i make is custom per the bike so i don't sell any of that stuff over the net..just hit me up when your ready ..

 

Heres the deal.

You build or buy a steel subframe.. and you mount it to an alumnim chassis..

The aluminum ears.. u know the "TABS" That the frame gets bolted too will break of oviously all it will take is a hard 12 and ur fucked... but..

best thing you can do to PREVENT this in my OPINION is:

Use LOW Grade bolts.. end of story.. Lowest you can find.. you will be better off this way than snapping a ear off using bolts that wont give !

And when people get these steel subframes.. you need to know your **** is not gonna fall apart.. but ur gona break a ear off eventually if you think nothing could possibly happen or break now that u got a "reinforced " sub

 

just to be clear etchemc is talking about subframes not subcages....

 

I have been running one of my steel subframes for almost two years and no broken tabs. I had a handbrake master go bad goin bout 60 and the bike went end over end and all it did was bend the sub, bent it back and still use it. no problems. maybe you should try using your rear brake instead of gorilla scraping.
