got a built 954 front end on it with flipped Vortex clip-ons.....its just a really compact bike. When you get up there to clutch up SS your knees are in your chest almost. On my F4i..stock front end and vortex clip-ons, its EASY to do it since everything is so long on the bike....tank, seat....

I'm gonna keep playing with it, but I can't even get comfy enough to pull up a SS on the damn thing, yet can ride em on the idle all day on the F4i.
I'm sure it won't be as bad once its up, but its uncomfortable as hell for me, and I'm only 5'9"-5'10"......can't imagine a 6'+ person riding one!

Re: 636 easy pull clutch

Yea, sorry about running away with this dude's thread. Looks like I started a trend...lol

got everything bled out like a champ, still trying to figure out the best way to place them on the bars for comfortability.(Is that a word?)

Ya know Rog, it helped that I bungeed the lever down over night...I had like 25% more lever when I undid it...still have to squeeze pretty hard to get it to fully lock up. May have to bleed it again.

Oh yea, and I picked up another MSR, a backup, or for the Honda....is $45. a deal, or am I being B.S.'d?

yeah.....but does FlavaDave have a beer gut? See my problem is, in order for my knees to hit my chest, they have to push my gut out of the way

I'm either gonna have to lose weight or lean over the front of th bike before clutching up......I'm betting on leaning over the front!

I'll give it a shot today or this weekend and see what happens.

as for that ezpull mod. I'll see if I can get a pic of the motor and you see if you think you could find a way to do it. I would nut my pants if I could have the same clutch pull on my RR.......I wouldn't do anything but coasters and endoes just cause I could pull in the clutch like I want.

Re: 636 easy pull clutch

i have an 06 rr motor here and i think i remember thinking if i made the clutch release lever go up at an angle and changed the angle of the cable holder that it would work or just raised the whole lever up and moved the cable holder up...either way it would take some fabricating so if your good at that you can make it work

lemme ask you this.....say you make the lever arm angle up which makes it 3/4" longer, but the total lateral distance is around 1/4"....is it still gonna make enough difference like it did on the F4i, or would I be better off pissing into the wind?
I posted a pic in another thread about changing tires, but I'll post it here too.

Re: 636 easy pull clutch

Man I was actually passing out while posting, whew! time to go to bed. And then I look at this, and see like a bad etch-a-sketch(sp?) drawing and I'm in the twilight zone all of the sudden.

I'm not even sure what we are talking about right now lol....
