Re: 636 easy pull clutch

Just put the MSR raptor on the little gixx. about 12 hrs ago. It is ok, taking a minute to get used to, for a couple times it was like I never clutched it up before!lol

I think that it felt a little far away from the grip to me.... need to adjust A bit, I think... and looks like I might have to do a bit of grinding on my master to get the handbrake set up to fit properly, but my first impressions last night were pretty good alltogether.

Damn, that is a good idea. This is exactly why I love this forum!!
I'll try it, Thanks.
I my defense though:
I really didn't look at it too closely last night before I rode. I still need one more piece to complete my handbrake, so I haven't tried to seriously install it yet. Plus I wasn't sure what side of the clutch perch to go on...

stock honda adjuster off a 600rr or F4i works perfectly and its steel so it doesn't break easy.
I might have 2 or 3 spares in my car, I'll PM you my cell number, call it tomorrow and I'll check, then if you swing by the lot I'll have it with me....if not I know where you can get about 20 of em for maybe a dollar a peice! .....the same guy who sold me his tire machine last week....he has TONS of parts and jackets and gloves from when he had his bike shop....so he might have even more **** you want too.

He has a brand new Jardine slip-on for an F4i he's selling for $100, never even been mounted yet! Takin a buddy there tomorrow to look at it.

no no, I cut and grinded them down perfectly , and got it to fit really well.(still had to grind a bit on the master) Then when adjusting the clutch going down the road with gloves on, I guess I just over did it or something?? (Lefty-loosey...lefty-loosey...lefty-loosey...lefty-...)
The clutch started slipping and I was like wtf!! First sign that something was wrong.

I didn't actually break the big wing nut looking thing, it is in perfect shape, it was the piece of all thread with the **** on one end and slit down the middle. it broke in half, and pissed me smooth off in the process.

if you do a search on easy pulls you will find mostly threads about how they all break....
