Can a bike hold you back?
Re: Can a bike hold you back?
a lot of people will say that its the bike and all that type of bullshit but if you know what youre doing then the bike wouldnt matter.....take a look back to 2000 when stunt riding really started to blow up, everyone rode what they had and killed it.....yeah the 900RR was the big thing but people were riding other things besides them and people looked down on the 600's.....Darius was on his R1 and killed it, Digity on a GSXR1000 and he is credited for pretty much inventing o's, Chauncy(SP) and Teach from Core6 rode 900RR's and were striaght ******* SICK, i remember to this day watching them ride and being just blown away every time....i bet to this day Chauncey or Teach could rock that 900RR better then most people do riding a F4i or 636 or what ever 600's people are riding today......it comes down to if youre good, youre good and you can rock anything and still kill it.....!
and im not good so inreturn i striaght out suck, lol....

i was rocking wheelies on my r1 with alot of poppa stoppies. i got my f4i a week ago and i can already do 3x more **** on it then i ever could on my r1.
i dont know what it is i just feel more confident on my f4i then i ever did on my r1

Re: Can a bike hold you back?
I can say that buying the Aprilia for my first bike, and then deciding that stunting was what interested me the most, and that it was true to my personality, lifestyle, and personal history wasn't ideal.
I can say that the Aprilia was holding me back sort of, it had all the capabilities, just was waaaaay too nice of a bike to learn to stunt on. Parts are expensive, and big heavy V-twin/plastic gas tank, and did I mention expensive Italian parts?!?
I learned alot on it anyway, but not at the rate that the designated, or committed stunt bike has allowed me to. So I could say that a bike could hold you back in that type of a situation. Where it is your only bike, it is expensive, or your "baby". Gotta have a committed stunt ride IMO, or yes your bike will hold you back.

ive thrown my F3 to the ground more times then i can count ( with and without a cage) i swear the bike is a Timex ( takes a lickin and keeps on tickin) i can only imagine the durablity a F4I has.. but i perfer the F3 over F4I cus im use to the deley with carbs. and parts are near free to replace is a great learning bike matter a fact i just got a WHOLE working engiane for 200 bucks. lets see ya find a 636 or 600rr for that price
Re: Can a bike hold you back?
gixxer is garbage. so is kawasaki. it dont care if it has an automatic balance point and a circle button. i need to be able to pick the bike up after a crash and continue riding, not blow motors, get cracks in the neck of my frame, bust subframes, or any of that other nonsense. a stuntbike has to be rock solid. i would gladly take a solid bike with a little bog over a butter smooth idle but flimsy as a soda can
Re: Can a bike hold you back?
a liter bike will absolutely hold you back, a LOT.
for regular straight line wheelies, theres not a real difference between any 600cc, from 1980-2007. Ive owned every stuntbike imaginable, like ten CBR 600s from 92-02, lots of kawis, gixxers, a ninja 250, ive owned and stunted them all. theres nothing that will really help you or hold you back. Any 1000cc will hold you back, guaranteed, it'll take you twice as long to learn ****, and you'll prolly bust your *** in the process.
for CIRcLES, on the other hand, its a whole different ballgame. Theres a decent difference between a sloppy carbed bike and a butter smooth fuel injected bike. Going from an F4 to a 636 helped circles for me a lot
