Not for myself cause I got a add or 2 here and there, but for the riders I see on here and videos that straight kill ****. Now if I was a sponsor which I might be someday you better believe I'm gonna do my own homework and find the kid who's murdering **** and make him known and get credit for doing so. Not take the easy way out and get the guy people already know! Here's my list of most sponsored riders who's skills are lacking the most. I'll put them in order as I see fit!!
Pauly LVX
DMANN
Todd Oldbert
Jason Britton
Kane
Now here some riders with the most skills and least sponsors who murder **** daily!!
Teach
Jason Pullen
Gary
Chrisiz
Luxury Joe
I know there is more riders for each list but this is what comes to mind
Bottom line is some people spend more time trying to make thier proposal than they spend riding and really getting **** on lock. I mean if you cant even do a 180 stoppie to wheelie, the basis of stunting why should I sponsor you is what I would say! And I'm not just talking about you Kane. Seems these sponsors in this sport want a spokesperson-model for thier gear, not a real stunna who knows how to ride. Any thoughts?

i have to say the reason you see that is, the companies are looking for someone that is easy to market. Why would they want to market someone that has the skills but has no personality (that is not an attack on anyone). Companies are looking for a person that hypes crowds and helps to sell their product. They want a rider that is gonna sign autographs, have fun at shows and generally be nice to people. Also look at it this way, Kane comes to your door with a professional proposal, is established and has a list of shows and events that he is or has competed in. Or do you spend a bunch of money researching riders to find the best one out there, but turns out the best rider in the world can't talk to people or has no expierience doing show or comps. Lets face it, there are kids all over the U.S that are parking lot heros that never go anywhere because they simply cannot market themselves. There is a reason that Kane, Britton, Adrenaline crew and various others are doing better than everyone else, they are better at marketing. While it is very frusterating that great riders aren't getting noticed, but whos fault is that?? Its not kanes Fault that he can talk like a mad man, hes working just as hard or harder than the guys that are murdering ****. All in all i think it comes down too that its a bussiness and unknown riders are a risk. Why would you spend your money on a risk when there is something with less of a risk that has a better return on it........i know it sucks but all those good underatted riders out there should take a minute to send out sponsor proposals instead of sitting on stuntlife and or the couch. Everyone controls their own destiny in this sport and its like everything else, if you want it bad enough you are gonna have to work you *** off for it.................
let the bashing begin as i will be on Microsoft Word retyping my resume so i can be a crappy rider with my own sweet list of sponsors..............
Watch out for me in 2007.............hahahaha

no really.. its the abuse that comes along with this site that I cant handle.. my buddies arguing, everyone wants to ride ratty bikes and do flea flicker combos, my phone always rings... I hate you all.. next time someone calls me to book a show or competition or event a full on european tour.. im going to tell them that stuntriding sucks and to hire some extreme ping pong players
Re: Sponsors v.s Skills!!
Sponsors don't allways care how good you are the care about what you can do for them...and your personality more so then your skill...case in point me I road raced for years, expert class and held the #1 plate for a few years I was fast as fvck!... but I knew it.. and was ****y as hell !!guy's who where slower then me and never beat me where getting good sponsorships and I got **** but a bunch of points and #1 plack's to hang on my wall....that was 2years ago.. so my point is... they don't alway sponsor the best rider cuz he may not be the best to rep them!!!
