I totally feel you. In all seriousness wtf is the point of a gix1000 on the street? And for stunting? Who gives a ****, gear it, and then it's all the same, except the 600 weighs less. Like i've said 30284305 times before too.. 600 cheaper to buy, cheaper to insure...You aren't going to outgrow a ****ing 600 bro. Hate to break it to you, but unless you started road-racing when you were like 12 you aren't going to have a career as a professional racer. So if you are just going to ride street, and stunt, wtf is the point of the litre bike?

Gix 1k def a sick bike but i agree with some of the guys in my experience i got 2 buddys 1 bought a 954 said hed grow into it 2hours later it was in pieces got it fixed 2and a half weeks later it was totaled and he used to ride my other buddy's 600 my other buddy bought a gix 1k he also could ride somewhat 3 days later its totalled good luck with whatever you buy but you dont need a litre bike to start out or to go fast some of my buddys can straight out ride my other buddys on their 600's just depends on how good you get good luck anyways and keep it on 1 wheel

Hey HawaiiHayabusa.....
I believe all these fools on this post is haten' on ya'. I recieved the same response from friends when I got all of my "Big Bikes"

****-em'

Get what u want! It's comes down to your mentallity. After 4 years of riding, I never once FELL, LOW-SIDED, HIGH-SIDED, or any of that BS that they speak of. Don't get me wrong fella's, sure a "Big Bike" is wrong for u.....if u're the wrong person. I wasn't the wrong person. I never once wheelied my 1100, accidently or purposely. BECAUSE IT IS NOT ME! I, on a hand-full of times wheelied my Busa in order to get the feel of it.....so i would know what it would do in certain situations and to test my limitations. I wheelied my 750 ALL THE ******* TIME!!! And my '03 1000 will very rarely see one wheel cause that's the type of rider i am. I'm not a Wrist-Twisting-Idiot-of-a-Fool who needs to show out like most guys do when they first get on a bike. "Oohhh, let me see how fast i can go!" "Let me see this...Let me try that!". That's what get Fools hurt and killed in these videos that u guys refer to.

BTW.....I've seen far more people fall and wreck on 600's than any bike out there. WTF!!!

I started on my cousin's Old School Gixxer 1100 (Totally Bored-Out with all the icing and trimmings on top) P.S. That was my first bike...EVER!

From there, i went to a Hayabusa --- Brand Spanking New off the Show Room Floor.

Dropped down to a Gixxer 750 (Brand New), cause i beleived the same shitt that these haters are pushing 'cause i wanted to do a little stunting in my daily ridding. Not a bad bike to stunt.....actually, it's the perfect bike to stunt, but just missed that power.

Now i'm rolling with an '03 Gixxer 1000 (Basically Brand New). THE PERFECT AND ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE ON 2 WHEELS!

I've come to the conclusion that most of these guys couldn't afford a New Bike so they hate to see u on one! Just because they started out on old bikes or used bikes, they feel they have to pass that same advice on to u. Just my

I don't beleive they look at things the way u and i do. I feel u when u say if u're going to get a New 750, or even a 600.....for a thousand or two more.....shitt, go with the 1000! COMMON SENSE!!! Hell, even slightly used, for a few thousand more...go with the 1000. Also, i like to look good and have my bikes looking prestine for the ladies, and with u living in Hawaii and being in the Military, u know what i mean.....i don't think they get it. They love their Shitt-Boxes, but hey.....To each, his own!

Good Luck

P.S. For all u fools crashing and totaling out your liter bikes.....u, or they are the ones who need to be on Ninja 250's!!!

No, that's not what i'm saying.
What i'm saying is that some people can afford new bikes and want nice looking bikes, other than used beat-up pieces of crap.

And if he's going to get a 600 or 750, for a little more.....he can get what he wants, a Brand New 1000.

Why buy someone else's problems?

Re: I'm convinced...the GSXR-1000!

I have tried over and over again to tell my friends not to buy too much bike for their first one. Some have eaten **** really bad and others have been fine. Everyone told me that i shouldn't have bought the 03 1000 that i bought because it was too much. The streetbike that i had before that was an 82 suzuk 750. A hell of a jump. But i have been able to keep from messing myself up. I went down one time, and it wasn't related to acceleration or a wheelie or tirespin or any of that.

But now i am selling the 1000 and moving to a 600 because it is cheaper and because you can't ever really get on the 1000 hard on the street because your doing 120 immmediately. Personally, i want to be able to ride the 600 a little harder and have some fun with it instead of constantly fighting to keep the 1K under supersonic speed.

600 is plenty for the street.

Re: I'm convinced...the GSXR-1000!

A 600 is more then enought for the street but lets face it. If hawaii is going to wrap himself around a tree he's going to do it with or without a 1k. Its the way people ride that kill them. I see stupid fukks all the time acting like jackasses and such on katanas, GS 500 etc...you get the pic. If he can ride a 1K fukk it, GET IT and then tell us about it, but don't come on here talking like you are going to get it cuz every hater in here is going to flame you. IMO your looking for some sort of recognition. I love reading the smart *** comments in these threads though.

Re: I'm convinced...the GSXR-1000!

I've ridden the new 1000's and they are fast as sh*t!! I've never been to hawaii but I'd guess that there's some pretty nice twisties (due to the volcanoes). If you want the best of both worlds, get a 750. More than enough power for the streets, twisties, track, and stunt!!! (yet not enough to kill you...as quickly)

Notice how most people are saying that a 1k is to much for the streets, do the smart/cheaper thing and get a 600 man. And noones tryin to change his mind hes gotta do that on his own. We are just all stating the obvious reasons why he should stick to something smaller.
