Re: chain links

grind a rivet down with a bench grinder and use a punch to knock it out.

Re: chain links

hehehehe i use a die grinder and a chain popper neat lil tool
heres the way i do it so i never fubar a chain and need two masterlinks
put it all back together roll it on the rear sproket do the overlap
mark the chain if you have to take it off and over to the grinder
to long is ok to short and you are fubared
hope this helps explain it better

Re: chain links

I just use a dremel to grind down the pin that needs to come out. Grind down both sides all the way down. Set the chain on a couple of blocks and place the pin that needs to come out in between so you can punch it out. Sometimes it takes a good swing of the hammer, but I'e never had a problem doing it this way and it's done in minutes. Good luck!
