i got the tick too with a 72 kit, but the bike seems to run fine, can improperly adjusted valves hurt the motor? im going to have them adjusted today @ a local shop.

Re: Valve adjustment.

K I put in a 72cc kit and now i got tickin. I'm sure its the valves. I have a friend thats a mechanic but hes lazy and never wants to give me a hand with it, so i'm just gonna do it myself looks simple enough. But I need a feeler guage. Like can i just go to autozone and pick this up? How much do they run?

Re: Valve adjustment.

I K adjusted the valves, they are both in spec now. I checked my timing, dead on. She still ticks like a mother though! Ever since i put the 72cc cheater kit in its ticked. Is this just a common deal with bore kits or what? Seems like alot of people get ticking when they put a kit in.

did u get the kit from DRATV? i bought a 72cc piston from him a while back and the machining was wrong on it and the valves were hitting the piston.
