Acceleration Question..
Acceleration Question..
Stupid question but o well... I have a K8 Gixxer 600 with -1 front sprocket.
Say your crusing 30-40mph in 4th gear and you want to take the **** off... Would it be best to rev match and shift to 1st gear or shift to 3rd or 2nd and slip the clutch? Ive rev matched and shifted to first and it does take off but im looking for a faster way than shifting all the way to first.
What would happen if you were in 2nd or 3rd gear doing 40mph then slipped the clutch and gave it full throttle? Leaning forward of course. Im not lookin to wheelie but to just take off quick.

just slippin the clutch isnt gonna go anything but fry the clutch.... only way to take off faster is to drop gears
Re: Acceleration Question..
Ha...ya i know im a newby squid.
Ive seen people slip the clutch, wheel goes in air, and they take off quick. So wouldnt it work the same but while leaning forward so the front dont come up?
