has anyone ever heard of a recall on the welds of a frame on any gixxers if you have please specify the year and what size the recall is on cause i just smashed my bike (broken weld) and i heard about it from someone just wonderin if it was just a rumor.

 

the gixxers are notourious for cracking frames..........i dont think it covers bikes that you crash....and i highly doubt there is a recall

 

there isnt a recall the bike is only made only as strong as it has to be.

 

the rumors were about the 2005 gxsr 1000.....and all 4 i have seen were all crashed...so idk about that...but all gixxers crack under the gas tank and by the headtube after stunting a while.....make friends with a good welder
