I'm not biting. With my fat *** (225) as pilot mines doin tops 32-34mph on level land. I only got an air filter and changed the jetting. Fast enough for me to have a great time on tho regardless..

I got an 88 kit on mine with stock gearing and 3.50 tires and I couldn't get more then 30 out of the thing WFO heh. Then again I was at 225 when I clocked it with a GPS. I lost over 30lbs since then though so I think it's time to try again

u can have all the power in the world, if u dont change the gearing it isnt gonna go any faster than a stock fiddy

Yea of course. So either mine is a slouch or just a slow one out of the factory. I don't believe a stock fiddy will go 40-45mph as someone posted. I was posting that I have enough power to max out the gearing on my fiddy and it was still slow

I think I have the most under powered 50, It has a 110 atc motor and it only goes walking speed because I have to push it to move it around in the shop.

Re: XR50 16/35 gearing goes 47.4mph in 1/4 mile

If u think it didnt go 73, meet up with me and i will drive next to you on the friggin highway. I have a 5 Speed with an 88 r stage making 9 hp on a dyno. the stock tranny with an 88 r stage does about 58-60mph. You have to remember these motors are revving 12,000 rpms. The i shock and forks make no difference in the speed, maybe a pound or two, but thats it. The R stage kit is 900 bucks, its not a cheap *** 88 s stage that suck my ***. I would know because i had one and they wond rev out and the run like ****. so i bought a r stage and the thing flies. It has a real keihin 24mm carb, not a cheap 18 one that comes with the s stage. The tranny and clutch was 1300 bucks, and it was worth every penny. If anyone has any doubts i will race you. This thing is a monster, it you put the 14 tooth on the front you cannot keep the front end on the ground. So all you people better believe, 73mph with 88 r and stock ignition. next year 106 stroker kit, nitrous, and ignition kit, im expectin to see almost 80 with a custom 17 tooth front sprocket.

Don't lie Ron - we all know the only way you're going that fast is if you're sitting on you're 50 while it's in the back of my truck
Even though Fab's kit is tight there is no helping you

if you do the math 40-44 mph isnt possible with even my 9 y o on it if it stock as you say
yours might do 28 mph, maybe i doubt it my stocker with a carb and pipe only does 34 with me on it and i weight 130lbs and thats with a back breeze and going downhill
mine with 16 /37 only does 56 on radar and its a 103 stroker motor
oh and im on 8 inch wheels not 10's
