XR50 16/35 gearing goes 47.4mph in 1/4 mile

My 88cc w/ race head, 20mm carb and 16/35 gearing went 47.4mph in 1/4 mile. Verified by GPS.

Does anyone have a 31 rear? If so, how fast does yours go and what front sprocket do you use.

Thanks

it took 7.35 miles for you to hit 47mph.....

bro my fiddy stock, except NGK spark plug & i weigh 190 goes 40-44mph all day long......many cars and big bikes next to me to justify, no money spent and it rips already....but it does take about 1/2 mile to get there

You guys crack me up. The 1/4 mile speed was 44.7 I ran the same 1/4 over and over. I guess I will just have to put a 31 on the rear and see what happens. I have a buddy who is going to try it tomorrow, he weighs about 150 soaking wet.

My 2003 XR stock motor/gearing with NGK plug tops out continously tops out at 37mph and I weigh 170lbs. Maybe you were running yours on a nice cool day or down hill.

49 mph with 2 mile runway.

I plan to put a 15/31 combo on and try to break 55. I might be 2 fat LOL

I would like to put in a 5 speed tranny, then it would be no problem getting to 70+. $660 for the tranny. ouch

Re: XR50 16/35 gearing goes 47.4mph in 1/4 mile

I maxed my fiddy out at 73MPH. I have an 88 r stage, 5 speed trans and clutch, 14,15,16/35 gearing, cdi box (soon to have race ignition), bbr sp-5s, two bros swingarm, i-shock,basically all the goodies, and i weigh about 160. This speed was accomplished within a 1/2 mile, probably less. I was clocked by police radar so it is as accurate as hell. Plan on the Race ignition and 106 stroke up kit, nitrous, and a frame. I will take on any Extreme or SDG any day. Those things are clams. My buddy has a sdg, he was like 3rd goin on 4th and i passed him in low 3rd, and i still had 2 gears. I will run it at the track next year just for giggles.

i heard a lot of BULLSHIT.....

no 50 does 73mph even if u have bbr forks with I-shock

no stock 50 does 40-44mph....even if u stick a NGK plug in ur butt and get thrown off the sears tower

damn young bucks making us look stupid.

I clocked mine bone stock (scooter tires, big bars, springs and 12 bar) and max out at 33-34 MPH
