i heard everyone say that z50's suck for stoppies.does anyone know why??? i got a z50 and i cant stoppie it... i cant stoppie anything as a matter of fact, but i was thinkin bout tryin to learn. any body know y they z cant stoppie???

 

It is poss. Nags just posted he does 50-55ft on a z. My boy just got a z and does ok stoppies. I dont know why they are harder though.

 

They're hard as **** on a Z.. I have my front brakes adjusted as tight as they can possibly go and I still have to use ALL my body weight in order to get the back wheel off the ground at all....

It probably also helps a little that I fit on a fiddy like it was made for me

My fiddy is completley stock by the way.... Other than about 4lbs of vinyl

 

i wonder if its the fat front tire??? maybe a street tire would be better. or is it that the brake set-up isnt up to the job??? i noticed on a xr that the brake assembly is on the other side of the rim as the z50. i wonder why its like that?? my friend was thinking about maybe putting a xr front end on his z50 (forks, rim and triples) but he wasnt sure if it would fit. does anyone know if it will fit??? would that make the stoppies any better??? or should we quit bein sally's and just learn to stoppie on it like it is?

 

it doesn't have enough brake pad friction area+ it also overheats real fast[the brake on the front wheel] maybe try a softer pad?but some people are rollin' em pretty far,so it can be done.........

 

I'm gonna have to go with that option

yeah im going to have to say just grow some ***** and get off of mommys titty and bust some stoppies....
