hey whats the best way to lower my old lady's 929 for her?

Drop/soften the rear suspension, drop the front forks.

 

how much of a drop will that provide?

 

maybe an inch or so. The front is easier to lower.. just loosen up the forks on the triple tree. Make sure you lower them the same amount. I'm not too familiar with lowering the rear, I just know you can soften it a bunch and crank it down so it would ride a little lower. There might be a way to change the mounting, but you'd have to ask someone else.

 

Umm... also there is a ring around the forks that prevents them from dropping through the top clamp. You might wanna pop those off so the forks and triple don't get trashed trying to shove the tubes up....
