Re: Picture of my dog
this was my pug 2 years ago...
we could not house break him whatsoever .. he just wouldn't listen! i cried when i had to let him go, i had him since he was 6 weeks old! anyway, so we found a family in houston who are pug fanatics and also run the majority of the pug websites for houston and group meets..
he likes his new home and adjusted well of course he had 2 other of his own kind to get along with .. aparently he didn't **** in thier house ..

That hurts so much Cath. I had to give up my lab when my father past away. The people who took him abused him. He ran away. 60 miles later he wound up on a farm. Guy took him in. Had him ever sense. Oh btw how high can yours jump I got Dino up to like 6.5 feet in the air to get sticks.

Re: Picture of my dog
my lil puggles was my baby.. the lil guy would nestle on my side or right on my neck .. i miss him ..

This is his profile page from his new family
Duke, male boxer who is 8 years old, actually had surgery on both his back legs, so he doesn't get his back legs off the ground... he's actually slowing down these days and has a hard time getting on and off the beds and sofa's..
Daisy on the other hand has jumped an 6 foot fence, and a few weeks ago i was letting her chase me in the family room and she cleared the sofa sectional without a paw or nub touching the sofa at all.. I love to watch her jump and play with the other dogs at the dog park..
they are both great!

Re: Picture of my dog
^^^ Thats so cute. I'm sorry to hear about your other boxer too. It sucks cause the life expectancy isn't long from what I hear. Ya you have to watch your boxer if their near anything under 7 feet. I tell people how high he can jump it is so funny though cause he isn't that tall or anything then boom he jumps like 4 feet off the ground. Thanks for sharing these stories with me it's helping me out.-Matt

Re: Picture of my dog
I thought this pic was scary I took of Dino today. No editing or anything just how it came out. Check it out.
I took another a second later and it came out fine. Wondering why the camera was doing this. Anyway here's the picture.

Re: Picture of my dog
lol, no the one from men in black was a black pug ...
i got him right when he was weined.. and we named him chewy because from the time he could walk around he would take shoes from all over and bring them into the family room and gnaw on them.. lil sucker had a payless goin on in the family room ..
he was such a cute dog but the lil ****** pissed on everything.. and he got along SO WELL with our boxer, but just didn't have the ability to give him all the time he needed so we gave him to a great family who already had 2 pugs... when we were in houston we stopped by to visit with chewy and he recognized us right away...

Re: Picture of my dog
^ That is good you still keep in contact with him. Hopefully one day my ex will see Dino. I think he would appreciate it. That's too funny you said he would go after shoes cause my mom taught him to do that and he still does it if your not watching him.

Re: Picture of my dog
I thought about starting my own thread, but I'll stick this in here it just seems appropriate.
It is my old friend Danger, she has had her spleen removed a couple of years back and died on the operating table. And now she has to have surgury for a mass that is around her colon area. She has been shitting straight blood off and on for about 4 weeks. Finally they figured it out. fine needle aspirate gave intial signs that it may not be cancer....but it is large and still amassed around the intestine and colon. If they can't keep enough original tissue to keep a good blood flow after removing it................................................ ...........................
She was found as an abandoned puppy from a dogfighter's "auntie" at the less than safe apartments that I lived in while in college. My buddy was the maint. man there, and this dog sat outside all day long at 8 weeks old because they didn't care and abandoned her. You see she whined when they picked her up by her back skin in the air instead of growled so she wasn't a good pit.... they basically smacked her around alot and fed her table scraps, and tried with all their might to make her mean.... finally abandoning her..... I was so happy when he picked her up and took her home. She then became a problem for him and a few short weeks later she was mine. She has saved my life a couple of times since...
She has proven to have some sort of special connection to me and has always sort of had my back. A guard dog with minimal bitework training, (mainly just obedience) and basically the best intuition that anyone could hope for in a personal protection/family pet.
Her name again is Danger, she has to go in surg. tomorrow and may not come home. I have two other dogs, and it will never be the same in my house without her. I hope to god that they can fix my friend of 12 years once again and that she is strong enough to pull through surg. Thanks for looking and hug your dogs tight tonight, because they aren't with us nearly long enough..... You can bet your asses I will be huggin mine tight tonight too......
Here are some pics from TableRock lake last weekend....
