Sprocket setup for an R6

What would be a good sprocket setup to stunt a 2001 r6? I still want a decent top speed but I need the low end torque. Ben

Dude most guys will tell you to go up 5 to 20 in rear but I learned with stock gears and was able to rock um almost to a stop with stock gears. If you want alittle more torque bringing up the front wheel you could go -1 in front or maybe +2 or 3 in rear. I think it may depend on how you use the rear brake some guys idle high and are steady on brake in that case a big sprocket would probably slow you down. But you can ease off and on the brake rocking BP w/ a little body english and you can go just as slow with stock gears and still have all the top end your worried about losing.

Re: Sprocket setup for an R6

My buddy did his first 12 on his 900rr -1 in the front, so it's will work keeping it stock or close to stock. That same friend though went up 10 and now he's lovin it. If you still want top end them maybe go -1 in the front +4,5,6 in the rear. I'm -1 front and+12 rear on my 01 6r and I can still ride on the highway fine. I probably max @ about 115-125, screamin though, so it's your call from here. :YEAH

With my bike I have no power until I get over 4k rpm, would going up in the back give me some power here?

Re: Sprocket setup for an R6

how "slow" is this "slow ****" that you do on your stock geared bikes? I'm sorry but if I'm trying to do slow crap on my friends bikes that aren't geared it sucks fat *****... I'm talking 5mph myself.
