Easiest Way To Learn Stoppies?

What would you all say is the easiest way to learn stoppies? I have heard that it probably one of the easiet stunts to do compared to others. All I have every really heard is just grab a handful of brake around 15-25mph. Was wondering if I could get some more insight on this matter. Thanks.

(By the way, I ride a '98 GSXR 600).

i'd try 'em at around 30-40mph so you can get the feel of how high your back wheel is while your front wheel is rolling. it's not about instant grabbing pressure on your brakes, but more of a steadily increasing action. grab your lever sharply, and continuously increase pressure, making the rear leave the ground. controlling the height of your rear wheel depends on brake control. to make your back end go higher, or to let it down a lil', squeeze harder, or let off respectively. another good tip is to use a video camera and film yourself. you'd be suprised how much higher you are able to go before you reach bp.

Burnout are easier than stoppies. My 1st stoppie scared the hell out of me cuz a grabbed the front brake to hard going around 30 mph. Bike almost fell on my head.

Burnout would work if I wasn't kinda strapped for cash for a new tire after a while. But with stoppies, I have a couple spare parts lying around, and am also saving up for a stunt bike so I don't have to worry about always crashing and repairing immediatly.

Before I do any of this, I plan on changing out my front wheel (has a little bend in it) along with front rotor, cause its slightly warped. Was going down a little back stretch by house and let off a bit, and applied a little front brake, and front end got a nice wicked shake, and a lot of chattering, so thats the only solution that I have been able to come up with that is going to stop this from happening, which today was the first time in about...2 months.

Yeah, was thinking about that. My buddy who is pretty damn good at them, said that he wouldn't mind showing me some pointers. He taught himself in about a week to get some high rolling stoppies (but he has no fear, which helps at times). So I'll see what goes from there after I replace the parts that are needed.
What would you suggest to get for a stunt bike? Don't care about plastics obviously, and don't know the exact price range I would into either. So maybe you could throw some bikes and figures out. Atleast what to expect or look around. Thanks

(Must say that this site is pretty cool, better than most I frequent, just a bunch of cool laid back people who enjoy the sport)
