Yet another wheelie question.

I have a 2002 Gixxer 600, I can ride out first gear wheelies for as long as I want. Any help with getting the damn thing up in second would be great. I can't seem to get the front up more that a few inches when I try to clutch it sitdown style. How can I get over how awkward standing up and clutch/bouncing it is?

Thanks

I'd suggest try bouncing it up in first gear. Then once you get that on lock move to second. I can't really comment to much cause I've just started my wheelies and I clutch them up. I've never really tried bouncing them so maybe I'm the wrong guy to talk to. So don't take what I say too seriously, but lets see some wheelie pics man.

stock sprocket? try one foot on the rear peg but make sure you cover the rear brake with your other foot, liitle bit of clutch and bounce, try it at like 30, take your time and learn the ones that rush it are the ones that bite it

Re: Yet another wheelie question.

it should be easier for you guys it isn't as dense the air is thinner at high altitudes

Re: Yet another wheelie question.

I just rode my buddies bone stock 03' GSXR 600, and just sat my fat *** all the way back in the seat, hit second and clutched it. As for standing... I was able to just lightly bounce and clutch it and ride that thing for a mile. Stand ups are weird until you get used to them, i looked like a real dumbass for a while!
