Rear Brake Control
Let me just say sorry if this has already been posted before but I looked and couldn't find any information on this, but I am fairly new on doing wheelies and I used to power it up but that sucked so I learned how to clutch it up and it get's up way easier. I have a hondamatic 929, I was wondering when I clutch it up in 1st or second and it comes up are you all using your rear brake to adjust the heigth or are you using the throttle??? When I try to do the throttle, sometimes I realease the throttle just alittle and bam...The front end comes down hard. I can get the front end up about 3 feet but I want to learn getting them up higher...but my ***** are too small and I dont want to loop it...any advice would be helpful, Thanks playa's :YEAH

It all comes down to practice practice practice. You just have to get use to the feeling of not having 2 wheeles on the ground and having the bike @ an angle. I just starting wheeliing about 3-4 months ago, just starting riding about 5-6 months ago. I was asking the same question, but I kept doing wheelies, keeping them low and then I was geting use to the height, and I got more confident and kept getting higher and higher, then I hit the beginning of the balance point a few times and scared the crap out of me. Then I started doin standing wheelies. Now I can pop it up doin about 15mph and ride it out till 70mph in first. I haven't got use to the throttle control when being up so high. I bring it up to the bs about 85 percent of the time. Just starting getting use to riding in the bs to keep a constant speed. But it all comes down to practice practice practice. About the rear brake. Keep it covered for emergencies, but when in first on my 02 gixxer 600 I close the throttle quickly and my front end comes down quick. So don't worry about looping it. Take it slow and you will get use to it. 3-4 months later after starting I can clutch it anywheres in first and pop it straight up with no worries when I first started I only could power throttle it within the powerband and take it off the ground a foot and being scared.
You will get use to it. take it slow and it will become like a second nature.
This is from a new stunter so I know how you feel.

Practice practice practice......
Once youget to balance point and start getting on the brake a little, you should turn your idle up to 3K and this will help you to smooth out you slow stuff. I sometimes rock a hig Idle when doing street stuff too.
