I am no expert.. but with my 929 second gear you have to get it up to around 40-50 then let the throttle off (compressing forks) then crack it and tug a bit should come up..

If you wanna clutch which requires no tugging then get it up same speed.. pull clutch in not fully just to engage then crack throttle release clutch. Experiment dont go cracking it open fully and dumping.. do baby steps and cover rear brake.

Not necessarily, 1000RR's have an extended swingarm, and I've heard are difficult to wheelie compared the 929 or 954.

I have a 1000RR. Cluthing it up in second is a whole lot easier than trying to power it up in 1st. You don't really have to worry about it looping because the rear suspension is designed to keep the front planted. Just start off revving it and dumping the clutch at around 30-35 mph. Anything over 40-45 and you really have to rev it high.I guess I dump it at around 8500-9000 to get it all the way to the balance point. If your bike is like mine it has a really abrupt surge when you first open the throttle so 1st gear wheelies are sort of hard to do slow, but I turned my idle up to about 2500rpm and it has helped out a lot. Also try sitting back on the seat. It makes it a lot easier to cover the brake since the rear sets are a little high. Good luck!
