I've really only been doing stand ups for about 2 days now actually....

I have an 04 Gixxer 600 and I thought for awhile I couldn't get it up in 2nd.. now that i have the timing down it shoots straight up with 1/2 throttle and a bounce..


A few times i've scared the **** out of myself trying to find BP (i actually hit BP for about 2 seconds but it started to drift to the left and had to put it down)
I wanna know how far past BP i can go without looping it... I can roll in and out of BP so far but It scares the **** out of me everytime I hit BP because i think "there's BP, two more inches and i loop it" so i go out of BP.. so I'm curious how far when i hit BP do i have before things get ugly?

Also, I ride with jeans, textile jacket , lid and gloves, a few people told me textile jacket is **** and i might as wear nothing... but it DOES have elbow,arm,shoulder and back sliders in it.... i'm saving for leathers but in the meantime would the textile hold up in the event of a wreck?

Hey, i was asking the same question yesterday. I ride a 99 gixxer 600 and i was wondering about hitting BP and how much further i could go. All i can say is that after practicing for a couple of hours today i can pretty much nail it everytimg now and it doesn't scare me at all, i am finally getting that ellusive buzz thateveryone keeps telling me about. All i can say is that you just have to experiment with it, thats the only way you are going to find out for yourself. Just have that rear brake covered and you should be fine. I found that i can go a fair way over Bp and not loop the bike but im still getting comfortable with it. Good luck and ride safe.

PS: I would be getting some leathers pretty soon, my best mate came off in a textile jacket and while it didn't do much damage to his ride he couldn't get on the sucker for over three months cause of his injuries!!!

 

man, why'd you get a 04 gsxr 600, should have got the 1000 as a starter bike

 

Starter bike?... I don't know if you're being sarcastic or just bein a ***** but I raced 125cc dirt bikes for 2 years, rode a 250 EX a shadow 800 a 600RR

I'm actually looking for some info since I just started into stunting... not smart *** comments, but thanks nonetheless

 

I actually did get a GSXR 1000 for a starter bike. I got a 2002 with 1600 miles for $6300.00 couldn't pass that up. See ya in HELL
