Re: wheelie help
im no pro, but since nobody has posted yet i'll throw my
at you.
the katana is notoriously heavy up front, but you can still wheelie them. Use first gear, roll like 5-10mph, wherever you feel 'comfortable'. If you want to do sitdowns, sit back in the seat a little bit, lock your arms ( or atleast extend them), watch the tach the first few times, pull the clutch in, tack on like 4,000rpm to whatever your already at, and quickly let the clutch out.
Adjust the amount of rev according to if it came up last time or not. Get the feel for how the motor sounds when you rev it up high enough, because you dont want to have to stare at the tach everytime you want to wheelie now do you? I've seen katana's wheelied, but never road one. I've wheelied my ninja 250 though...I rolled like 5mph, reved to 8k and let the clutch out quick.
If you spin your back tire, let some air out. 25psi should be good, just air it back up later. Starting out, you gotta make sure your staying in the gas as you let the clutch out, otherwise the bike will just jump forward a bit. Hope that helped a little bit, if your a new rider, practice on learning to ride first. wheelies can always come later lol.
