There is always gonna be the cop threat. However, I do have my or advice. If you really want to practice for a while get out of the city find some fosaken road where you can see for a long ways, it's fun finding those roads too. plus if you get caught at least you have a better chance of not getting nailed to the wall because your away from traffic and other people in general. Industrial areas are nice at night time. If you can't get out of the city then look for major parking lots, always check behind large buildings too like grocery stores and wal-marts. Most of the time the parking lot is barely suitable for semi-trucks but every now and then you'll find a gold mine. Some people I know use school parking lots but from my experiance cops tend to hang out there anyway and I imagine that you might have a really hard time explaining why you were being reckless in a school parking lot,,,I don't think there is anyway to talk yourself outa that.
Also, I hardly ever ride at night but when i do I useually get the best practice (element of concealment) but that street goes both ways you won't see them either. Risk is part of this game anyway you cut it and luck is always a factor

Good luck

Hold off on the 12 bar until you have slow wheelies mastered...

I was just thinking the same thing...a period or two would help. I think that whole paragraph was one big run-on sentence. Not that I'm an English teacher or anything...lol.

Re: where to wheelie at

I just recently started to concentrate on learning wheelies - infact just the other weekend I finally got clutching wheelies down, where before all I could do was a power and bounce...

Anyways, I'll hit school lots on weekends. We have a vocational school out here that is off of backroads with a nice lot. There's plenty of good suggestions above, but I have never had a lack of places to practice...I have lately been going to an old abandoned air strip lately - no one is ever there except for other hobby type people (flying remote airplanes) and it's so huge we never have a problem.
