questions about powers crash cages

ok, so i just got my 954 liek a month ago. getting ready to start actually sessioning lots but i feel kinda uncomfortable without a cage. im paying teh bike off so a cage is good insurance im my opinion. im pretty much gonna get teh powers cage so with taht said lemme get down to eth point.

i know teh cage isnt gonna save you 100%, i dont mind if a faring cracks, breaks etc. that can easily be replaced, and a frame cannot. my main concern is on teh frame. just how good are the cages out there, especially teh powers at frame protection? i know if the bike falls over it will be fine. but lets say it falls from liek a parked 12 position, can it dent the frame right away?

basiclaly my main quesiton is with a cage, how hard must the bike fall in order to be really really ****ed up?

im just gonan be trying slow stuff liek 1st gear clutch ups and more serious stoppies when i get a damper. the bike falling doesnt bother me, i know ill probably fall and it will it and be fine.

maybe in just being paranoid, any advice would be nice, thhanks in advance

Re: questions about powers crash cages

My brother and I ride the the MotoPsychoz. We all have the racing905 cages. We drop them all the time from a straight up 12 o'clock position and they fall smack down on the sides. A cage can take a lot of abuse off of your bike. My brother has broken a few mounting tabs. I've never broken anything. If you have that much weight slamming down that hard.... somethings gotta give. The 1-2 hundred you spend on a cage will be well worth it in the long run.

thanks a lot man, my reason for powers over 905 is the area of coverage, from side shots the powers covers more area front and back and doesnt seem to be as close to teh stator cover as the 905, im sure they are both good, but imma get a powers, thanks, thats the next thing, actually first mod to teh bike !!
