Hurricane For A Stunt Bike

Me and my buddy with a shop are going to build a stunt bike from a Hurricane.

some questions for everyone here are as follows:

1. Gearing-this bike will be stunted but be street legal, and will see some highway riding, but doesn't have to be busting warp speed, 6th gear would prolly be cool topping out at 90 or so and still at a liveable RPM. 60T sprocket.

2. We are going to have an Acerbis DHH headlight on it, but we need to figure out how to do dirtbike bars on the stock upper.

3. 12 bar, how do you know how long to make the bar? I am a beginner to 12'n but don't want to have to screw with cutting and rewelding the bar back on when it's too long for my skills!!!

4. We are going to be building a cage for it, so we got that covered.

EVERYONE PLEASE GIVE YOUR INPUT ON THIS......THANKS

It doesn't need a cage; the pavement would break before the Hurricane. I had a 600 back in the day, it's what I learned to wheelie on. They're heavy as ****!

its the first 'cbr' from honda. From 87-90 they built the F1 hurricanes. I believe they even built 1000cc's then.

Re: Hurricane For A Stunt Bike

ok guys...

I know what the bike is, it's going to be the 6 hundo not the 1k.

just looking for input on how to gear it and all that, basically just seeing if anyone has stunted it yet?

doesn't the starboyz use the hurricane 6 in their school?

I've never seen one get stunted. Why are you fixing up a hurricane?

werd up

it's either that or we just missed out on a '03 636 for 1500 :-( wuz wacked and needed subframe welded on, but it would have been a great stunter.

we are looking into something newer like a f4i or a 636 f4, or sumthing like that, but my man has the hook up, let me know if you need anything out there and we'll get you hooked up for stunterbikes.

missed out on a 00 zx9 for 1025 also :-( but didn't know about doing slow circles and stuff on that 9 it's weight is 497 :-(

636 is 355
f4i is 374
900rr is 379
929 is close to those as well.

want something light, i am a short feller but stocky 220lb's( ok well I am a fat ***)

peace

last werd--

if you ain't got the money to waste why waste it, why not get something old and that still runs good and werk with it and beat the chit out of it. STARBOYZ USE HURRICANE'S FOR THEIR SCHOOL.
