I am planning on buying a new front and rear sprocket. I know that sprockets take out a lot of your top end speed and make the throttle a little more jerky, but what are some other negative effects?
I'm thinkin -1 in front and +4 in back do you think this is to much? to little, or just right? I want to be able to pull wheelies while going at 35 40 mph, am I way off with this whole thing? Like is that possible or do I not know ****?
I just want to make sure I'll like the buy and that I'm not making some dumbass mistake. I would live if my top speed in 6th gear is 100mph and get a lot more torque, am I on the right track or should I just save the money for my next bike (wich won't be till next summer!). This sprocket stuff is giving me a headache to try and figure out...
Thanks for reading.

If you're gonna have it till next summer then gear it. It's a good quick fix to keep you satisfied while you're saving for your next bike. If you still owe on the bike, focus on paying it off, not making modifications.

Always run your gear in the rear, it gives your bike a smoother power delivery. If i were you i would go +10 or +14 on the rear, leave the front stock. Just depends if your going to stunt it out or not. If u go with more gear u can just start out your wheelies in 3rd and work your way to 1st if youre not used to it right away. Talk to Phil at http://www.moto-heaven.com , hes got the hook up on all your gearing needs. Later......

once you get up in the air... you don't need anything to keep it unless you are chasing a wheelie. At some point you can let off the throttle and the bike will still be standin' at BP. Having the ***** to get it up that high is the hard part... about the speed difference i couldn't tell you...i know going 1 down up front lowers my speed about 9 mph in every gear ... so it says 55 i'm actually goin about 47 give or take.

Is it easier to grab he BP when your going slower? Or would it be harder since the BP would be like 12... Whenever I see video's it seems like people can get the faster one's easier since the BP is lowered.
I'm just wondering if I should practice going for the BP by cranking it goin 20mph rather than popping it up at like 5mph - what's easiest for you guys usually? This doesn't pertain to the gearing I want though, I only want the gearing to pull off wheelies at 35 - 40 mph, and I'm trying to figure out what gearing I need to do that.
Thanks for the response guys
