Start with gearing?

I am starting my build of a 2001 GSXR 750 into a stunt bike. I have never rode a bike with a non stock gearing before so I am not sure how much an extra tooth -/+ will do to this 750. I just picked up the 750, so I have not even rode it yet.

Should I go ahead and re-gearing right away, or should I get used to the bike first and than re-gear it?

Also, what do you guys recommend the gearing should be?

Re: Start with gearing?

Get used to it and then re-gear if you want.
